Watching him grow

from 31 inches above the ground,
the world is still so new
The pail of dirty diapers is as interesting as is the bowl of dog food
The bathroom seems a mystery,
one to be explored;
and dancing at commercials is a grand, tremendous joy.

Mommy is a favorite,
Elmo comes in close,
watching his program gaped mouth is the only way to go.

Drooling is second nature,
and rolling raspberries is so fun,
I like to pull the kitties hair and clap when they turn tail and run.

Scolding doesn't teach me,
do they really think I'm blind,
they can pretend to be angry
but I know I'm still a find.

I laugh out loud when Mommy tells me "no,"
clutch my belly giggles,
maybe I should give them more control?! :)

Recently I learned a trick with my finger and my thumb,
and if I pinch mommy hard enough she puts socks on my hands as gloves

I'll eat whatever is in front of my me,
I'm quite an easy guy
but my bellies getting bigger and you should really see my thighs

Every toy I have has been scrutinized and enjoyed
but my brother's stash is better, although he really gets annoyed.

Wait until I'm bigger, I will talk your ear off good,
for now I like to blather and no one seems to understand,
that I have a lot to say or that I'm every bodies friend.

My Daddy is my buddy,
he likes that I play rough,
I may only be a baby,
but I am sturdy and I'm tough.

We love our little Oliver.
His blue eyes and his laugh
his husky little voice
and how he's clingy when he's sad.

I can't believe he's almost ten months old next month
wherever the time has gone
we'll never get it back
so we're enjoying every second, every minute, every hour, every day
our baby is amazing and that feels so good to say :)
